Terms & Conditions

​We, R A Youngman, agree to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the apple tree renter expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against R A Youngman. 

For the terms & conditions from this point onwards, "we" or "us" refers to R A Youngman, the owner of the website and registered owner of the land at White House Farm, Grundisburgh, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP13 6RR on which the orchard and apple trees available for rent are situated on.

  • The apple tree rental is for one growing season only. 

  • The rental period runs from the date of purchase through to the date you pick the apples from your tree. This date is dependent on the weather throughout the growing season. All apples will be picked before the end of October. 

  • The rental agreement does not create any rights over the land, orchard(s) or apple tree(s) and renter(s) accept we maintain full control and possession of all the land and parking area at White House Farm at all times. 

  • There is free parking available for the visiting days for the Spring blossom and apple harvest. All cars parked on the farm in the parking area are parked at the owners risk. We will not be held accountable for any loss, damage, injury, theft or accidents relating to vehicles and users property whilst on the land at White House Farm. 

  • We will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury, theft or accidents sustained to individuals or personal property whilst on the land at White House Farm 

  • Please ensure that suitable footwear and clothing for the weather conditions is brought to the visiting days and take care walking around the orchard and land at White House Farm. The land is agricultural land and by nature may be uneven under foot. We will not be held responsible for any injury or accident that occurs to tree renters during these visiting days and apple tree renters enter the land at White House Farm at their own risk. 

  • If an apple tree renter fails to harvest their apples from their rented tree during the specified visiting days the apples will be harvested and sold commercially by us unless prior agreement

  • There will be no access for any apple tree renter(s) outside of the specified visiting days on the land at White House Farm. This is for safety and insurance reasons as heavy machinery operates on the farm.

  • Please refrain from picking apples from anyone else's tree - you would not want it to happen the other way around to your own rented tree. If you require more apples please speak to a member of staff. 

  • Please bring your own container to pick your apples in to on the allocated harvest dates. 

  • Please ensure a valid form of I.D. (Drivers Liscense, Passport etc.) is brought with you to the visiting days to allow us to confirm identities and match them with the specific apple tree rented. 

  • Please be respectful of the apple trees and orchard on the visiting days. Under no circumstances are the trees to be climbed or hung off as they cannot support excessive weight. Please follow the apple picking advice given by staff members as, after all, the way the apples are picked can effect the storage life of the apples. It will also influence how many apples are produced the following year if you were to rent the same apple tree again. 

  • Please always be respectful to staff members on visiting days. Their aim is to give advice and help apple tree renters get the best experience and learn about apple trees and how apples are produced. 

  • You accept that when you rent an apple tree from us that we require your email address to communicate the farm visiting and picking days with you. There will also be information sent to you about the progress and management of your apple tree throughout the year.
